Avitas is looking for a VP of Sales to join our organization.  This position will be responsible for developing and managing a talented, cohesive, high performing team that sells across the Avitas product portfolio.  We are currently operating in Washington, Oregon and California (2018) with significant growth expected.  The VP of Sales will play a critical role in our quickly expanding company; we expect substantial growth in the next few years.  This position will be a key driver of that.    

Position Overview:
The VP of Sales is a key leadership role in our organization.  Our mission is to show that the world is a better, happier and healthier place with cannabis.  We don’t use additives, pesticides or fillers.  We offer a 100% natural cannabis.  This, in itself, differentiates us.  It also offers a look into our company culture, standards and beliefs. 

We’re looking for an experienced sales leader to join our quickly growing team, develop a strong plan of action and execute.  We have an excellent sales team; we’re looking to drive a holistic sales approach that delivers the same quality and execution as our products.  Working collaboratively is in our DNA, our sales leader should demonstrate this attitude on all levels. 

A startup mentality is critical for this position.  We’re looking for a strong communicator who understands that the job doesn’t end when our products are sold in.  We’re looking for a confident manager to lead within our organization and the broader cannabis community. 

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success leading, growing and developing sales organizations for sustained top results, particularly in new retail client acquisition 
  • Demonstrated revenue growth success 
  • Experience recruiting and building sales teams 
  • Experience defining and overseeing compensation plans 

This position can be located in Washington, Oregon or California.  Significant travel of at least 50% is the reality of this job, be where you need to be to grow the sales.   Competitive Base + Commission + equity.

Position Summary: Avitas is looking for a kickass, smart, fun & self-driving brand ambassador who wants to be a part of a premium cannabis brand. This role will help support and ensure the execution of key retail sales driving initiatives for Avitas in retail stores and at events around the state. This is a full-time position. (Position will be based in: Oregon)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key conduit of the sales and marketing team for Avitas.
  • Conduct information sessions of Avitas products at cannabis retailers & at events.
  • Set up, maintain and coordinate all efforts involving local sponsorships, including booth setup, prizing and appropriate marketing at the events.
  • Educate consumers on Avitas products, be a key knowledge point, answer questions regarding product
  • Drive trial and awareness Avitas
  • Be the Avitas expert for store managers and budtenders, building relationships and a true knowledge base about Avitas products and brand. Showcase the Avitas assets, including marketing and support and ensuring all clients and contacts are up to date with all marketing materials.
  • Review and make adjustments to Avitas in-store product and displays
  • Ensure all new stores have proper Avitas marketing materials & presentations
  • Have friendly, positive and informative interactions with customers
  • Follow up after each demonstration, providing reports and feedback to the Avitas team
  • Continually strive to improve industry and knowledge
  • Administrative work including, but not limited to, managing product information on category websites including Leafly and other industry sites. Updating consistently and pro-actively.

Personal Attributes:

  • Ability to build relationships with store staff and personnel
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Creative problem solver Skills and Technical Expertise
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Retail execution experience preferred
  • Past experience presenting in front of groups and facilitating training programs
  • Experience in retail environments interfacing with end consumers
  • MSFT Office

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have consistent access to a computer and the internet
